I use this one all the time.. CIGAR
Controls free and working, Instruments, Gas, Attitude of Trim, Runup. Along with Mike's GUMP (pre landing)
Gas, Undercarriage, Mixture, Prop.
That's about the only checklist you need for a simple airplane.

Assisting Cereberal Recall Of Names (in) Your Mind. (A.C.R.O.N.Y.M.) Almost there but not quite. It's really helpful if the acronym actually forms a word. OYJMUC    (Otherwise You're Just Making Up Crap). It's like making up a limerick, the lines have to rhyme in a certain way, but also have to mean something at the end. Seems The Overworked Posters (are) Now Outta' Words...
