V7 Stornello Traction control
« on: December 27, 2016, 06:57:19 PM »
Anybody know how to disable this? or has this been cover here already? I think mine is acting up. When I start the bike from cold both ABS and TC lights flash alternately until you get going. But mine sometimes the TC light doesn't blink and when that happens the bike runs like it's VERY cold blooded and keeps stalling unless you really give it a lot of throttle to go.
Cheers,

Warren,
I can't help you with the traction control, but the cold start issues on the V7 are well discussed.  On my bike (a '09) I first used a modifier for the oxygen sensor, and then moved to a programable ECU; MyECU from Australia.  It's great, but it's only for the "old" pre-2013 engines.

I believe for newer bikes the Guzzidiag ECU management system is the way to go.  But it's for people that like to get "hands on" with their bikes.

It's right there in the owner' manual (RTFM):  with the engine running, hold in the starter button for a couple of seconds, the TC light will light up and stay lit, and the TC will be disabled.  It might be that your TC needs to be re-calibrated.  That procedure is also right there in the manual.

Also note the lights will be on until the bike starts moving. Once the system senses movement, the lights will stay out until the next restart. Unless of course it is active on purpose.

Thanks guys, It's been kind of hectic around here and though I find a little time to enjoy riding it, I haven't had time to read the owners manual yet
