Seems like the H-D runs fast for 1 race then slows up.

Highlight of the day...for me anyway...was 78-year old Buddy Stubbs doing a few laps on his vintage Harley-Davidson XR-750!!  :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:  :1:

not much of a race for the feature event.

Forget what I said about Vance and  Hines having anything for the Indians.

Short track at the Lodi Cycle Bowl on fanschoice tonight starting at 9 PM Eastern . Several of the big names will be competing . Tomorrow is the Sacramento Mile , one of the two best mile races in flat track .

Really wish the tracks they raced the nationals on were as well prepped as Lodi . What a great track :thumb:

I was thinking of hitting Springfield this year but from what I've seen so far on NBCSN I'm not sure it's worth the drive. Not a lot of competition. I guess the type of finishes from years past (Chris Carr winning by inches over three other guys) are indeed a thing of the past. Great to see so many brands out there but so far no one has anything for the Indians. Having said that, I'm not giving up. Been following AFT since the glory days of Romero, Aldana, Mann and many others. I have hope that it becomes more competitive again.

We're rockin' now , sure is good to watch a race on a properly prepped track .

Now if Shayna could just get a decent start , and the Duc can do something .

Missed it, as I had to watch the local Canadian boys stir up some dust on our local 1/4 mile at Welland County.  Was the first night of racing and the weather cooperated perfectly.  Next week we host the second round of the Canadian Nationals.  Anyone local should make a point of attending and seeing some great racing.  Will have to catch the Springfield Race on the NBC replay next weekend.

I rode the LeMans III to the delayed Springfield Mile. It was a hot day but grandstand shade made it OK ! Good to see Carver get a mile win! As I was leaving,a couple of guys complimented my bike, I was ready to get some air moving so said my goodbyes, but a mention of not seeing one everyday by me brought a reply of not necessarily...I didn't realize till I was on the road home it might have been you WildGuzzi flattrack guys! Cheers!
