NGC - opinions on waterproof car covers?
« on: June 09, 2023, 09:16:55 AM »
I have an old truck that I need to move out of it's covered storage temporarily, and think a waterproof cover is what I need. I can go cheap and buy a thick Poly tarp to drape over it, but I'd like a nice form-fitting truck cover, and there's a bazillion of them out there. Does something "breathable" yet waterproof really exist, or do you really get one without the other? The finish on the truck is original faded down to bare metal, and so far a coat of exterior wax is keeping the bare metal from oxidizing (further). It actually looks really good. I'd like to keep rain/dew off it for the time it's outside.

Any experience to pass along?

I've gone here https://sealskincovers.com/ the last two covers I've purchased. One was they're entry level as the car is in the garage. The second one was they're mid line as the car is outdoors but under a carport. I just recently bought a custom patio furniture cover ( didn't know the made 'em ) and it will probably outlast me.. Quality stuff, easy to deal with. My $.02
