Killa sound from Agostinis
« on: May 13, 2022, 09:36:32 PM »
Just removed the DB killers and they sound sweet on the V7 850.  :thumb:
Reminds me of hearing one of the first Guzzi’s I ever saw and called it a “ground pounder”.
It just sounds so good..... :bike-037:

I been considering these. I think this clinched it. Once I get my other projects completed I’m buying a set.

I have a set, for a V7, (with the removable db killers) that I will be selling soon on the swap shop. I don't know if they fit the 850 version of the V7....

What do those look like?  Does LaFranconi have them for the Competizione models?

I'd be careful about running agostini's on the V7 850 without db killers as there's no cats in them like the oem or Mistrals so are already running leaner. There's no map tuning alternative tunes available as yet.

I have em on my V7 III but run them with the DB killers in........loud enough and great sound. And they almost made up for the weight of adding the center stand.

I have the Agostinis on my V7III Racer, and the Mistral shorties on the V7 850 ... both with the db killers left in. Both sound great, I think the Agostinis have a slightly deeper sound.

Hhmmm, haven't heard this.
What reports have we concerning this being bad for the V7 850?

General observation as there are no reports as yet. The V7 850 is a new model. However normal engineering theory applies:

Freer breathing exhaust (no cat) made more freer breathing (remove db killer) makes an already lean (euro 5) running engine even more lean.
With other bikes / Guzzis this could be corrected with software of choice - Triumph for example - Tuneecu, older Guzzi - GuzziDiag, and loading new map / editing existing map.

I've got a 2014 V7 racer with the agostini.  I keep the DB's as it's extremely loud with them removed, to a point where I was getting dirty looks from guys on Harleys
