My Special in its current state. Hepco and Becker soft panniers (bags?) on their C-Bow frames, fork gaiters from a Stone, M-G crashbars, Dart blue tint screen, Mistral short reverse cone exhausts (the single best mod). I’ve done 1000+ miles now so I’m beginning to use more of the performance. Great handling, lovely sound….

That bike is a beauty, Alan!  How about a side view when you get a chance, please?  Welcome to the forum, by the way!

Checking over the bike I found the 2 m5 headed hex bolts holding the headlight arms to be barely tight. Hmm. Headlight now 15mm higher and bolts tight

Cadre has a demo silver special; Yesterday I sat on it, fired it up and checked out the instruments (I prefer them over the ones on the stone). Very cold day; didn't have riding gear with me, so I didn't take it for a ride. He has a blue one that I think is gorgeous. When we get a day with decent weather, my wife and I will take a ride on the demo. If we like how it feels and rides, we will buy the blue one. I have already thought about possible mods: center stand, MG side cases and rear rack (I have a Givi universal mounting bracket and a few monolock top cases), Kaoko throttle lock, Givi A34 windscreen.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Obviously we are all biased here :-)
Looked at racks and side cases. Don't make my mistake of trying to mix and match. Bought the Givi rack 1st then fount Unit Garage side frames and bags. They don't fit together, even after some hefty Givi rack modifications. The Unit Garage side bags are my go to. The bags sit higher than the other bags I've seen, including the MG. This I prefer.
Get a cramp buster rather than a throttle lock - just my personal choice.
The MG screens look good, better to my eye than the Givi.
MG center stand - easy fit. Have a spring T puller handy.
Pyramid Plastics front fender extender. Cheap, perfect fit. I attached with a high grip mastic rather than the plastic rivets.
Givi crash bars. Stupidly over engineered and a great mounting point for my Dineli D2 lights
Don't know if exhausts are in the must have category but changing to short Mistral's helps with both looks and sound, without being obnoxious.

Seems I have a warranty claim.

My lights switch - 3 position on the Centenario/Stone works fine but has never had a definite "click" between the 3 positions. Came up in conversation while I was at MegaBikes in Dublin and before you know it video done of mine and a new stone and claim being sent in.

I just thought it was a quirk of Guzzi.

You may well be right.  I just haven't worked up the gumption to call Sloan's.

The Atlanta dealer has charged $50. in the past to do updated maps. Reasonable, I felt.

Interesting you guys posted this. Appreciate it. Anyone deal with the upmap device? Does beetle have anything for that?

My UpMap arrived today (from the same source). As I understand it I can download the latest OEM map for free too. In this way I should be able to restore the latest original map without going to a dealer. (Mine won’t allow access unless they service the bike….).

Yes, a reasonable charge to plug in/update a bike - if you owe it. That’s the issue I’m in discussion with MG about right now. The prior map had a number of defects from throttle response to erroneous fuel mileage calculations. Based on that it should be covered under warranty.

I am happy with the Upmap. Right now I believe when it comes to remapping the E5 bikes Upmap is the only game in town.
