Quick update. While the Unit Garage pannier frames fit perfectly they don't fit with the Givi rear rack.  Bug*er. Oh well.  Frames are staying on the Givi rack is off.

Side

Top

Bag fitted.  Well above the exhaust. No heat issue

Rear

Close up of the bag - 20-26 litres each.  Nice little velco straps across the main straps to hold the excess straps neatly. The bag can be locked to the frame from within the bag (Not the easiest but behind a flap. if the bag contents are in a bag then not a major issue to pull inner bag and leave UG attached)

Thanks for the detailed pictures, that is a neat and clean set up, very nice!  Waterproof and good capacity, too.

Does that make me an influencer?

Today I added my venerable Eastern Beaver 3CS fuse box and have 2 of the circuits used.
Also started working on raising the rear brake pedal. Will have that finished tomorrow hopefully.  Couple of photos tomorrow.

Those look great. One of the things I don't like about the HB racks is how obtrusive they are visually with the bags off.

Rear brake pedal position adjustment

Additional light - Deneli D2 LED.  Bright LITTLE lights. I've added the flood filter to the left hand light as we drive on the left here in Ireland and left the right as a spot.

Handlebar switch and my Gammatronix charging health led

All feediing from an Eastern Beaver 3CS fuse box behind the right side panel.

Seems at least a couple people here got the Unit Garage bags and mounting racks and are (presumably) happy with them. Has anyone tried these, or have any advice on trying them? They look pretty similar, at least for the canvas options, at come in at significantly less cost than Unit Garage for total of racks + pair of (canvas) bags.
I'm still waiting for my Centenario to be delivered, so all I can do for now is peruse the internet and dream...

https://lapoderosagoods.com/en/prod...ddlebag-support-both-sides-satin-black-copia/
https://lapoderosagoods.com/en/product/dakhla-12l-saddlebag-safari-beige/

Both vendors have larger and smaller bags. I lean towards the smaller ones based on looks, I think I would just throw on a pillion pack to support a longer ride if needed, but that's all an "I think" :p
Thanks in advance for any insights...

Great to see more luggage becoming available although I'm of the opinion that the unit garage frames are the neatest presently available, if not the nicest. Great quality as well.

As someone who appreciates minimalist when it comes to tank bags, the "tank band" with it's little attached bag looks pretty interesting :)

The panniers are another solid alternative to the choices I was already looking at, but I'll agree with Kildareman that the Unit Garage racks still look the overall best. Might be something with compatibility with different rear racks? it appears the Unit Garage front attachment is under the seat (?) and the others are bolting on using the top shock mount...
I'm not planning to add a rear rack, so I think I'm going with the cleanest look (Unit Garage)

Yes the front mount is under the seat - two threaded M8 holes in the cross piece. I ran a tap through first but the bolt will do just as well, as the threads were gunged up with paint/powdercoat.

Adjustable levers for the Centenario from MG are rather expensive and unobtanium so went with Probrake levers (probrake.de). A set cost the same as one MG lever. I went with the Tector model -
Adustable
Span
Lever length
Lever protection (swings up) Not planning on trying this one though

Went to fit the brake lever first and opps, either wrong set sent or they didn't look at the MG first. Am guessing the first option:

Probrake back to me 1st thing this morning. Indeed wrong end attached. Should be R22 for Moto Guzzi not R40. Correct adaptor dispatched.

I've fitted some eBay specials "HJR products". Well made and no vibrations at all. I'm also using the MG flat bar and no bar end weights needed.

Ok I gotta ask the stupid question. That fly screen is awesome. Assuming my V7 gets sorted out I’d love to purchase one where did you get it? Thanks in advance

The Fly screen is from LFS GARAGE (http://www.lucianofavalli.it/cupolini-moto-guzzi/)  It's the "Sport Cup" in stainless (it's clear laquered) I added the eagle - It's a MG tank eagle I got from TLM in the Netherlands but I'm sure you can find on the bay etc.
LFS does lots of customisation to the basic screen as required, including painting the eagle etc. I went with the "Sport Cup" as it was the tallest available at the time.

Hope that helps.

I have two bags from Saddlemen  - one large (almost too large) and one smaller. I modified them - like you did Sarah - so that I can leave the female strap buckles on the bike and with four clicks, the whole bag comes off and gets carried into wherever. I don't know about the rest of you older folks, but I don't like tail trunks because I have to give my leg a good swing to get it over the seat and end up hitting the trunk half the time. I had a tail trunk on an Edelweiss trip and they kindly took it off. It was much better after that. I highly recommend Saddlemen bags.

Finally received correct brake adaptor for my Probrake levers so fitted them last night. Minor adjustment to move the brake lever inboard by a cm. Otherwise really comfortable and no stretching anymore.

I can't remember if we've discussed these being in the works, but Longride now offers racks for the 850:

https://longride.com/collections/saddlebag-holders-moto/products/moto-guzzi-v7-850-saddlebag-holders

Available for the Special too, chromed to match the factory grab rail.  I don't know a thing about these folks, but I'd sent an email early on expressing interest.
