Kathi and I have been attending the South’n Spine Raid — a small Moto Guzzi gathering of great folks — for quite a few years. This was the 17th iteration, nearly all HQ’d at the Lodge at Tellico in Tellico Plains, Tennessee.
I rode the Norge; Kathi -- my Perfect Pillion & Polish Princess! -- caged it our old Fit (with 259K miles), then joined in for the riding and other fun.

The rest of the story is pretty much in these pix:

If you care, hover cursor over pix for captions.
Of course, there are too many! That’s how you know that they are genuine and from me, not some imposter.
In defense of what may seem a complete lack of discipline, I started with 500+, so it could have been worse.
Ciao!

I somehow was unaware of the lodge with cool moto parking in Tellico Plains. And I was just through there a few weeks ago! Maybe this Fall . . .

I saw an announcement of this event over several months ago, but as the time drew near I couldn't find it.
I had every intention of taking the 1-1/2 hour trip up the road to attend, even though I hadn't finished repairing the tach on my V11 Sport.

First, thanks for all the kind comments. Such rides are, obviously, great fun for me, and gathering the pix into that format saves the memories for those (ever-looming) days when riding on two wheels will be only that.
And, appropos that :clock: ...
My traveling days are over, BUT I'm glad I can still go on your trips.
Thanks, Bill

Certainly hope, Tex/Ken, that you only mean on two wheels ... as painful that is for the sort of folks who come here and, in particular, know of your moto exploits over the years. Kathi and I both look forward to your visit here at the top of Virginia. Our "B&B" has astonishingly competitive rates for the likes of you.

Docc -- the SSR leader who professes, however, to be in charge of nothing :azn: -- posts info about the event on the v11lemans forum. I'll try to remember -- heck, I just put on my Mac's calendar with an alarm; I am so 21st century  -- to crosspost about it here next year.
Best,

Glad to see you had a nice trip. That was a very attractive group of Guzzi’s there. I really like the Champagne Spine frame Lemans.

Fantastic photo essay as usual thanks Bill.
Looks to be really nice countryside. :thumb:

You have skills, (taking photos) and luck (getting Kathi to marry you). As always a great travelog. Stammi bene.
