Top of the Rockies Rally in Colorado
« on: June 23, 2021, 09:31:33 AM »
2021 July 15- 18 Rally in Paonia, Colorado. Escape the heat at a great rally with vendors, entertainment, food, camping, etc. BEST RIDING IN THE STATE. This the best annual rally in Colorado put on by the BMW of Colorado Club. NOT a brand specific rally. 10-15 GUZZIS usually show up and we need more. Since we no longer have an official Guzzi rally in Colorado, this is a great alternative. I was one of the organizers for our Salida rallies, and now I run registration for this one.  Check out the link and lets make this a great "not a Guzzi, Guzzi rally" You'll love this rally and the town of Paonia.

I used to be a member of that club when I lived in Colo some 30+ years ago. Met a lot of amazing people at the annual rallies.

Good picture Archangel. I remember it well. I am the fellow on the far left with the Breva. I will register later today. I am looking forward to bringing my V85 up this year and going over Kebler Pass and maybe Schofield Pass.
This rally is definitely a highlight on my calendar. Good people, good food, good beer, good music, and good times.

Just registered.  I figured the V85 Centenario is over three weeks old now so it needs a little seat time.  The whole area is terrific country and I always like to stop at Marble for their barbecue.  I came back to Pittsburgh via Canada and around the Great Lakes last time so this time it will probably be the Ozarks so I can get back for AMA days at mid-Ohio.  Hopefully I will run into someone else on a Guzzi.

Looks like a couple V85s at least headed to the rally. That's great news for me. Sold my Stelvio am considering the V85 and the new V7 850. Will be great to actually get to see these bikes.

The town has been watering the park, so in spite of drought the lawn is in great shape for camping. See you all here!

I’m in. 200 mile ride for me, so not quite the multi-day adventure others will have getting here, but at least I get to avoid all the straight roads. My R1200R will get the nod.

No Guzzi to bring? Isn't that a V7 in your profile pic, or are you currently guzziless like me. I'm so ashamed !  :weiner:

I owned two V7’s but they’re both long gone. I’m the kind of owner who relies on good dealer support and we just don’t have that around here. I really enjoyed the bikes but couldn’t justify maintaining a long term relationship with either.

My first V7 begat my second V7, which begat a CB1100 DLX, which I recently sold. The R1200R is its replacement.
