LAFRANCONI COMPETIZIONI mufflers
« on: April 13, 2015, 09:04:25 PM »
I've just bought a set of LAFRANCONI COMPETIZIONI mufflers for my 2004 California EV. Many different reviews of many different opinions but I hadn't asked anyone on this forum. So tell me guys, what do you think? Will I need to have it tuned after I install them? How loud are they really, ect??

Thanks for your help. Matt

I bought a set years ago to put on my old T-3. They make a nice deep rumble and not loud at all. I really liked them and if I ever get a cali that's the way I'll go.

Had em on my Jackal, no difference in performance that I could tell. Took them off after a 2 day trip for the stock mufflers, easier on my ears.

Had them on my '03 Stone.  Beautiful sound, and NOT too loud.  Nice deep throaty rumble.  Doubt they will affect your fueling, there are baffles inside.

I had a pair on my 01 Cal Special and loved the sound. I changed to a 7/33 rear end with the higher revs I changed back to stock because they got really loud.

Thinking about putting a set on my LM3, do they come in both chrome and black?

Thinking about putting a set on my LM3, do they come in both chrome and black?

Quick check of MG Cycle's site shows black and chrome for LM 1/2, and chrome for LM 3.  The chrome could always be ceramic coated black.

I have them on my EV, prolly 10 years now. LOVE the sound, but regret when I forget to put in ear plugs before a long ride.
Also adapted a set to go on my Eldo. Since restoration, been through 4 different muffler types looking for the "right" sound" (difficult because of the small diameter of the loop exhaust pipes). The LFC mufflers are the best (by far)

I've had them on my Cal SS for twelve years, they sound great, but after 12 years and many miles, they are a bit louder, but still very sweeeet (as long as you are old like me and losing your hearing)  ~;

I've got them on my 2013 v7 stone...I absolutely love the deep rumble sound they have. I've gotten many compliments on the look and sound of them!

Cheers,

Chris
