Thanks for the brochure links.  Still  "left overs" if new old stock parts used in a different configuration.  Moto Guzzi does that a lot.

That -California- one has a slight different version dash than the standard 2nd generation G5 dash. Does that model actually exist? (The one labeled G5 California)

Saw off the muffler nipples off.  Add turn signals.  Take the mini-anti homeless spikes off the fender.  The dash looks like it's off an earlier bike.

I kinda like them exhaust pipes. I bet they keep the soot off n the saddlebags. The spikes gotta go; maybe they can hold my Okie plates on the back.

Here's something you might find useful, unless one came with the bike:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Moto-Guzzi-V1000-G5-Owners-Manual-1981-2467rs/132408426234?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

On the other hand, if you send me a PM with your full mailing information, I'll send you a CD with PDF copies of all the V1000 G5 factory manuals, copies of period brochures, magazine articles, How-to procedures, wiring diagrams, and a bunch more stuff specific to the G5. It's a great bike.

This offer is also open to any WildGuzzi member. I also have model-specific CDs for most mid-'70s to '80s Tonti-framed Guzzi models. Just let me know what you'd like and I'll post you (any of you) a CD. Shipped anywhere, no charge. [And, for folks who've requested a CD recently, I'll be sending out a batch on Monday so please keep an eye on your mailbox!]

Probably like the 850-T Interceptor, it was just a decal that never got put on.
