AKA Confederate Motorcycles before. $155,000 and it's still ugly. IMO.

Engine looks cool... I see its a S&S.. Anyone know if its based on anything, or just their own design? Im used to seeing them offer the custom HD stuff.
-
The perfect gift for the poser who has way too much of everything except brains or common sense. As a one-off design exercise, I think it is interesting. As something to buy - see first sentence.
-
Even if I won the lottery it would not make my garage. But I am sure there are some who like it.

That is one ugly bike. I'm not sure why anyone would want a bike like this.

Their design...they call it the Wedge
-
At least they are trying different stuff. The Guzzi's stagnation model releasing the same old bike with bold new colors is as boring as a bowl of cornflakes.

Ya, no way I would own it even if I could.. Someone wants to toss me the keys, and Ill ride it though!!

$10k to anodize the frame & fork. That tells you all you need to know. A dumb concept wrapped up in an ugly package with a big $150k dollar pricetag as a bow. Ridiculous. Needs 200% more skulls. Lol 'Combat Motors' what a joke. Motorcycling is a fun diversion hobby ~or~ a utilitarian tool for simple and cost effective transportation. Rolling up to a bike show on your COMBAT motorcycle in your tacticool urban camo riding gear is the height of lame.
-
Waaaay too impractical for me and my wallet.
-
I am a Confederate owner. I stopped dead in my tracks when i saw one for the first time, had to have one. I would not even look twice at their bikes now. Matt Chambers and his design team must be fans of the Tron movies. My bike is a2001 Hellcat fast and great handling machine.

The pre-modern era girder front end reeks of the same designer - he calls himself an engineer - who "did" the Motus. The same guy who cut part of his hand off with a band saw.
I wonder if the hydraulic clutch line is routed so close to the cylinders that it boils the clutch fluid ala Motus. That would necessitate a clutch bleed before every ride also ala Motus.
Beware of poorly engineered, hyper-expensive "designer" motorcycles.

According to the page, "The new 2021 Combat Wraith will have a limited run of no more than 21 units."
Whew! Though that may still be 21 units too many...
-
Take a real good look......Go for a long 700-800 mile day on that?!? (I think not...)     Also, a ridiculous "silly" price (IMHO) @ $155,000...

what caught my attention was the 560 lb curb weight with BST carbon fiber wheels.

We probably aren't their target market

The saddest thing is that I predict that all 21 will be sold, if they haven't been already.

As they say, the cheapest thing on a Guzzi is the rider.

You all miss the point. It was never built to actually ride. It's a wealthy persons statement " look at me I can drop 155K on a pointless next to un-rideable motorcycle" OCC with some "engineering"
Ciao

Yes, you are right, lucky phil...I missed the point...
Imagine if someone gave you $155,000 and said:
Go ahead, buy a motorcycle or three that you really like!!

Imagine if someone gave you $155,000 and said:

But if someone "gave" you $155,000 to spend on a motorcycle how much did you pay for it?

This, 100%. Is there a place for understatement of the month entries? If so, please put Dusty's entry up for consideration.

I thought Confederate had changed their name to Curtis Motorcycles.... It is ugly, but in a badass sorta way!

Man is it ugly! And looks to be very impractical as well.

Sorry, not actually aimed at you personally. If I was given $155kUS and had to spend it on bike/s that thing wouldn't even make the long list. Nor would any perceived "classic" bikes which are totally overvalued these days. I'd go for a few modern classics which will hold their value and or improve and are light years better engineering and better as a motorcycle in every respect.

For that kind of money it should have 3 or 4 engines and at least two hacks.

Good to see SS ,a Wisconsin CO still in business.

Did I say it was a problem? Just an observation. Don’t dish if you can’t take.

This is where I step in and say chill out fellas . If you want to fight over nonsense take it somewhere else . Capeesh ?

Wow! 145 horsepower from 2.1L That sure beats my 2008 Hyundai Elantra- only 138 HP , mind you it's a little smaller at 2.0L.
And yup, to my eye everything but the engine is, er , aesthetically challenged.
But here's hoping that Combat will release a Wombat model or a Tomcat or more appropriately for the target demographic, a Fatcat.

That would be the Vulcan Meanstreak I owned for 7 years. Sportbike wheels and tires, USD forks. Two disks with sport bike calipers up front. Mine was an '07 purchased for $6300 OTD in '09.

Rick
It's ugly in a dumbass sort of way.
-
If I were handed the keys, I'd take it for a ride. It could be fantastic.
-
It’s a Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Jay Leno toss fest type thing.
Who’s innocent of that crime ? I don’t see it as any uglier than some of the “custom” pus, foisted on a clamouring audience made up of Guzzi fringe dwellers.
To be honest, it looks like you could actually ride the bastard somewhere....

They wouldn’t sell unless the price WAS silly.
Back in a previous life, I used to make good money part time in venues involving a stage and a mic.
The owner of the equipment told me to double my price and I would get more work, so I did and I did. If you gouge people who are forming an opinion in their minds as to how good you are, they will think you’re worth having if you’re expensive.
This thing is the same, it’s never been about the bike, it’s a symbol of your status... If a Desmosedici Ducati was 20,000 Australian dollars, it would not be as desirable to the Casey Stoner wannabes.
