What to do with engine
« on: December 03, 2020, 10:32:02 AM »
I recently sold my Breva 750, and I have a 750 rebuilt engine in the garage. Wondering if I should put it in a golf cart, lawn mower, or just make a table out of it. Any suggestions?

There are folks who own and love these 21st century smallblocks, who put big miles on them, and might be in the market for a instant rebuild when their current engine gets tired.

I'd give it a try selling it and see unless you want to build the world's fastest go-kart or mini-bike .... !!

If you were closer,I’d love to buy it and put it in a V65 that I happen to have. Would be a hoot!

I have a friend who built a kart with a 4 cylinder 2 stroke modified Mercury outboard motor. Can you say fast? Loud too with the megaphones.

If it's not toast it would be a pity to not put it up for sale...some of us intend to keep our bikes running till the end of time!

I had no idea they were anemic. Maybe more torque?

Build or modify a frame, turn the engine 90 degrees like a Ducati. Chain primary drive to an older non unit British transmission...

There's not much in it really and I don't really get why Guzzi did the overbore ...a friend who swapped a Nevada engine into his 650 NTX said it was much more pleasant to ride but as he also swapped the gearbox too the ratios got changed so the bike is now geared as the other road bikes. The NTX's and TT's had higher ratio boxes in them for enduro work so the acceleration is very un guzzi like , and the top end disappointing. They love and have to be thrashed on the road and I don't think he liked that , having sold a Cagiva Elephant for much the same reason.

Yeah.

I'm thinking a rear engine setup like an old VW. Think miniature dune buggy with a custom header exhaust.
