Why anyone would want to sell a very rare high-value machine in this way baffles me. After all is said and done, the seller will receive maybe 30% less than the buyer ultimately proves he's willing to pay. In the days before the internet it was understandable; auctions were probably the best way to garner international interest. However, reaching potential buyers a world away these days is easy. Make up your own web-ad to sell it, and you pocket every last penny/dime (..which, were it one of the rarities sold here, could easily net you an extra $30,000).
