Cali 1400 Instrument Backlighting

Hasn't worked since I got the bike.  Fuses look o.k..  Anybody know how to fix?

Back lighting on dash only functions when night headlights are on , not with daytime running light . Also you can scroll to settings with the menu toggle and adjust the brightness. Check in your  manual for specific procedure. Can't remember the exact steps but if you scroll to settings then to  adjust backlighting, then to level 1 2 or 3 you push to lock it in. Again from memory so I may have missed something . I can go to the garage and run through it if you need me to .

Thanks for responding.  Yes, I've tried all 3 backlighting settings and night lights on but still.....

Hmm, perhaps a relay. I believe #5 is light logic relay and is the first one towards the front behind RH side cover
