Yes, that bike is definitely "Period-Cool"...but how about the modern Honda Fury??!!?? :wink:

If I were to own a chopper, I would want it to be on a purpose built frame instead of raked triple trees.
The Honda Fury is in the "Pro Street" style which gives it pretty neutral ergonomics. I saw one with mini-apes and thought it looked better than OEM. Personally, I would like to test ride one, but would want Buckhorn bars on it.

No raked trees there, the neck has been cut and raked. I rode a chopper once that had raked trees, very bad method to stretch out the front end. It messes up the trail worse than a raked neck.

This example is not one of the nicer 750 honda builds from the 70s. I like the ones with the "savior" type frames, and radical king/queen seats. The Honda Fury is a nice riding bike. I have a friend that bought one new, and I have ridden it a few times. They are a sweet handling bike, that Honda brought to market 5-7 years too late! after the Fury, my friend bought a Yamaha Raider, which I didnt like as much as the Fury.
If you ever get a chance to ride one, I assure you, you will be surprised at how "natural" it feels. :thumb:

To me the work "chopper" means that the original machine was chopped, bent, changed, or otherwise altered to the owners personal taste (or current fad). Thus I don't consider the Fury a chopper at all. More like a retro styled cruiser... but not a chopper...

The Fury is Definitely NOT a retro styled cruiser. Google Pro Street Choppers. It is more like them and they started in the 1990s. Nothing like that came from a manufacturer that I am aware of. The word chopper and bobber are sometimes used interchangeably. The raked out front end has nothing to do with chopping, but has become synonymous with the word chopper.

the set up on Honda 750 choppers used to be extended forks no rake high rise bars so called Harley 16 inch rear wheel and yes king and queen seat .In my area they had fiberglass scalloped tanks
