77 convert
« on: September 21, 2022, 09:12:33 AM »
Well my wife is going to retire in May of 23 and wants to try different things and travel, one of those being that she wants to go off the beaten path on Honda trail 125's, I grew up in the dirt but she has never done it so this ought to be interesting, I made the mistake of showing her folks riding epic trips on them postie bikes ( Huzo being 1 of them) and she has her heart set on doing it and because she has never said no to my bike addiction I'm going to do everything to make this happen. I will be listing my convert and her 2019 Burgman in the classified as soon as I can bring myself to do it today, but if any of you can't wait pm me and we will talk.

I was just drooling over your beautiful Convert in the swap meet, Bruce. If I had not bought a 76 a couple of months ago, I would buy your in an instant. Its a very nice looking bike.
I have a heck of alot more $$ than $3500. in mine, and I still have some upgrades to complete. I will have close to $6K  in it by the time I am finished, but who cares, its a "keeper" that I will enjoy for many years, hopefully.

Thanks Rick, mine is a rider in progress and yours is definitely going to be nice when you are done with it. I wish I could do what you and some others on here have done, I bought mine with 9002 miles on it and have 11292 on it now and have not added anything to it since I got it running, I will definitely miss it, they are truly amazing bikes to ride  :bike-037:

You might need to order the trail 125’s now, they are pretty scarce around here. I’m holding out for the tan color to arrive.

I know what you mean, nothing coming this year, I ordered them with the stipulation that they arrive by May. I hope they show up by then, I will really be bummed if the convert sells and they don't show up  :bike-037: the wife will be to because I told her she has to sell her scooter, so she has skin in the game to.

I'm in North Liberty, I had a 71 that I let her ride before we were married so she has a little bit of experience on one, the dealer I know thinks he can get em by May, we will see. The convert will have a few more miles on it as I still ride it and I just changed the oil and 2 speed trans yesterday, the auto and rear only have 1500 miles on them as the Dunlop 404's, I will be sending all the guzzi stuff I have with it that you can use or trade for what you need, I have more into it than what I'm selling it for,  I'm just asking what I initially bought it for. It will need some TLC but you can still ride it as you go along like I'm getting ready to do when I get off here, I might be able to deliver it also but we would have to talk about that  :boozing:

Say vintagehorder how tall is your wife? I watched the video on the 125 and noticed she was tippytoeing pretty good.  Still have the convert and Burgman with a little interest but it is still early  :boozing:
