2013 V7 Evap removal
« on: January 21, 2019, 11:17:16 AM »
So I overfilled the tank and now sounds like I have the issue of the evap cannister getting flooded. Bike run fine initially but then the idle pulsed from 1000 to 2000 rpm. Removed the gas cap and it was ok. Happened again the next time I rode. Attached is a picture of the cannister. Are these the only 2 lines I need to cap and is there anything else I need to do. Bike is all stock Thanks.

On my '14 I just clipped the hose that connects to the throttle body, and capped the hose on the throttle body side with a slightly oversized bolt (relative to the hose ID.) Left everything else where it is.

And...after you remove the hoses I recall there's a port at the throttle body(ies) that needs to be capped.  Go to an automotive store and get "vacuum line caps."  They were made for carburetors, to cap ports, and are perfect for capping the port at the throttle body.

Welcome to the show, Yes the top line in that pic goes to the spigot on the bottom of the 'Y' manifold in front of the throttle body. You can cap it or plug the line. The bottom hose comes from fuel tank vent and can just be tied off by other hoses hanging under bike or locate the tipover valve on the line & cut it out. It should be blue/orange.

hi.  looking to delete my V7 evap ... what is done with the 3rd hose positioned on the other side of the canister?  does it need to be capped or not?
