How to check/reset trip meter '06 Breva 1100
« on: March 22, 2024, 03:50:46 PM »
How do you check/reset the trip meter on an '06 Breva V1100?
How do I get to the screen that shows the total miles?
What might the problem be if the odometer / trip screen remains blank? (lighted, but no display) All the other meters and idiot lights work...
Thanx...

If the screen is blank it would be a bad screen not the program or switch

This is often a condition that progressively worsens. Putting a desiccant bag into the housing can help slow the progress. Or even putting one on top of the instruments when you park it for the night, and covering them with a cloth. This won't reverse the damage, though.

There's currently a used dash with two keys available on FB in the Moto Guzzi parts group for £85.

Do you have the name, number of who fixed it.  I would really like to have mine fixed or replaced.
My LED is fading, is very hard to read.

I wonder if there is software for a laptop or Ipad that would one to access the information witout the dash led.
I recently had some new keys cut (not cheap and it took me awhile to clone them with the dash so hard to read.
Be nice if there was a workaround for this anti theft system.

User jlburgess (maybe gone from the forum now) reported doing this in a longish thread I started about my successful efforts to waterproof my Griso's dash:

https://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=84968.msg1340172#msg1340172

Others did the same thing and reported success. (I'm surprised I could so easily google up this eight-year-old thread.)
