Turned on the TV about 4am the other day and "Highway Patrol" with Broderick Crawford was on. Had to look twice, but one of the bad guys was Nimoy. Looked like he was about 20, must have been one of his first jobs.

While I can't say I enjoyed the original series as much as the subsequent series, I really liked all the movies. I will definitely miss Spock.

Found this a few years back, Spock and Bilbo Baggins...

He'll be back, I'm sure.   Massive radiation poisoning and being fired from a starship in a photon torpedo didn't faze him, I'm sure he'll handle the return from a little thing like being 83 just fine!

Yes, one cool dude. RIP.  Spock was a cultural phenomenon that lasted 50 years and is still going strong.  Great acting job by Mr Nimoy to pull that off.

I completely missed his passing till I tuned in a Man From U.N.C.L.E. re-run last night and it had both Nimoy and Shatner as guests... as well as Werner Kemplerrreerer - er, Col Klink. Turned out it was part of ME TV's honoring of Nimoy.

2 years before Star Trek premiered.

Spock, Kirk, Solo and Kuryakin. Had they scooped Bronson (Parks) and Sgt Saunders (Morrow) they'd have cornered 1964 cool.
