Breva 1100 fuel connector installation
« on: October 12, 2021, 04:29:43 PM »
Hello,
I'm replacing the fuel line 'QD' fitting after it no longer stayed connected. The replacement is the same as the original. My issue is trying to get the new one all the way onto the fuel line.  It's got about 1/4" ( 6mm) to go  and it doesn't want to move any further.   Anyone out there dealt with this before?  Thanks in advance.

Try smearing a bit of vaseline petroleum jelly on the connector before attempting to shove it into the fuel line.

Dip the end of the fuel line into a cup of hot water, sometimes that will soften it enough.

WD40 might also make it slide on and dries so that it won't stay slippery.
