How's the build quality? and did it ship from China?
From the Deep Deep South out in left field.  There are no stupid questions.  There are however stupid people asking questions.  🤣, this includes me.  😉

Surprisingly solid, as heavy as stock. shipped from Hong Cong. A couple of rough spots but no problem for prep work. It took them a week to ship so I suspect they built it after I ordered, then one week to arrive.

Does it fit on the bike properly.....There's been many complains on the India made tanks for vintage Triumphs..Some said the tanks were a few inches longer than stock , causing fitting problems... Might be a good idea to leak test it before any prep work...
If it doesn't leak and fits ok, that is a good deal

Could you provide a link to it?
I am looking for a tank to put on my Jackal and was thinking of a T3 or Convert tank if I got a good used one cheap.
A Lemans tank would be great too as I already have a fiberglass set of triangular side covers.  Still looking for a seat solution too.

Fit is good, leak test next.... Corbin seat fits the same on other tank. It even fit my V50 but would need mods to the front mounts and the steering lock.

Now if they'd just make it so you can use the original style gas cap. And what's up with those petcock bungs?

Thanks for posting the tank info. I have been wanting a tank to make up a white body set for my LM and the price looks great. As per the the cap as Charlie mentioned, there  is a fuel neck that would allow the original type cap to http://www.ebay.ie/itm/MOTO-GUZZI-DUCATI-LAVERDA-FUEL-NECK-FOR-SPECIAL-TANKS-REPAIR-FOR-STANDARD-CAP-/222463602571?hash=item33cbdd2f8b:g:v0YAAOSwR0JUPU0b

I notice this aftermarket gas tank has the gas cap opening off center unlike my CX100(LMII) tank.  That would be handy if filling up on sidestand.  My tank holds 5 gal. US.  Later LeMans tanks hold more.

I wonder why they call this tank  for LM II because it isn't.  My tank has a centered gas cap opening and a lid that goes over it.  I would call this a modified LM I tank.

I'm doing a Mk 2 and am not across these things as much as you guys, but is it EXACTLY the same shape on the sides ? The bottom edge of the sides seems to have more bulge ?

If my tank wasn't painted I suspect it would look like this 1 on the sides.

Looks the same side by side. It is a little wider underneath. Scroll through listing pics for dimensions.

Are you going to seal the inside?
Is there surface rust in there?

If it looks the same to you then I'm betting it is.

Huzo, I stuck a ruler on the wings and they are the same as stock, around one inch.
Leak check is good. Put in 5 US gals. and still had 2 inches inches empty at the top. I can easily fit another liter before reaching the filler neck (1.25in.).
The petcocks are crap. They have 90 degree spigots like my V50, but are very crude. The cap is borderline flimsy, just hope it breathes.
And like Charlie said "what's up with those bungs" , their 1/2 inch longer than stock.
Overall not bad for the money and I'm stoked that with a little work it will fit the V50, which is where it may end up when I'm done restoring the CX.
