BMW R100 Shocks...?

I know that some of you folks are knowledgeable in Airhead BMWs... Well a buddy here that has an '83 R100 and is in need of shocks.

The only real issue here is that he is fairly parsimonious...  Cheap.  Does not want to spend a great sum etc...

Any recommendations for a lower to medium priced set of shocks for this machine...?

I have serviced this rig a few times and ya know, I actually enjoy riding it, handles well, I love the power which is very subtle but consistent and surprisingly long-legged.

Jeff's 100 is a CS I am almost positive, I have not seen it for a couple of years but I am quite certain of the tail piece, his does not have a fairing so it may very well be the standard R100.

Call him too, he always wants to speak with a buyer to determine their needs, use, weight, amount of luggage carried, percentage of time riding two up, etc. It's easier to catch him by phone too. His work hours are posted on the website, and you can sometimes reach him outside of those if you're lucky.

I may Steve, that is exactly what he asked in the reply too, luggage, actual weight, whether he rides two-up or not...  told me the cost which is already on the website but real informative fellow.

I told Jeff all about Dave and asked that he just order the shocks, leave me out of the middle of it, I will be glad to install them for him.

Great to have a vendor that wants to ensure that the customer's needs are met, awesome.
