Hi All,
Replacing the stock pipes on my Centauro and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Most of what I have heard is all Staintune but I know that there are others lurking out there. Part of this is cosmetic, part weight savings and part is the never ending search for more power.

For quality, looks, and performance, it really is hard to beat the Staintune full system.
Nice sweptback headpipes, nice looking crossover, quality stainless steel construction.

It is not listed on the Staintune site and after calling several dealers and distributors they are telling me that it may be discontinued. Is there a source that you know of?

Apparently this may be a moot point. I just heard from the Staintune factory in AU and they say they no longer make the exhaust nor know of any supply. So. Who is running a Mistral Exhaust??

Glad I have a spare set for my Sport 1100!
You might try asking the folks at MG Cycle, Moto International, and Harper's. You just never know what might be languishing on a shelf somewhere.

I have the Mistral mufflers on my Daytona and when I was looking a year or so back the full Staintune system for the bike was $2,500 hundred bucks plus shipping.

I've got a set of m4 cans and a mistral x over in the shed. I don't see needing them unless the bubs break apart

OK, so I don't mind the 2500.00 as much as I mind the unobtainable part.
What are some of my other choices? BUB is out of business......Mistr al seems to always be out of stock.

I don't like how staintunes sound... a bit tinny to my ear. (my staintune experience is with a couple of ducati's I briefly owned, so my experience may or may not apply guzzis. ) $2500 is a lot of money.

Yeah, the $2,500 bucks stopped me. I ordered the Mistrals from Agostinni because MG Cycle didn't have them in stock. Shipping of course was more but I got them in about a week.

They were "only" $1550 when I bought mine 12 or 14 years ago... And the SUDCO kit of FCR41 carbs was "only" $995...
Sure transformed the bike into what it should be, though!

As long as you're out looking for unobtanium, see if you can find a pair of Bub pipes... they make the engine sound like a Chevy small block. ;-T
FWIW, Bub disappeared for a while, but its products are set to re-launch via a new company under new ownership in 2015.

I love the sound of my bubs and somebody was trying to sell a set about a year ago with no takers. I think Bub quit making them for Guzzi quite a while ago. That said i think i spent about 300 for them right after i bought the M4 cans and mistral xover that are now just sitting there.
