8 days of perfect riding, about 20 minutes of total rain in that whole time, and although it's only 1200 miles round trip from Houston to Cedar Vale, I managed to put on 2100 miles of total riding somehow, must have been that slight detour to Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana...Norge ran like a champ as always, and enjoyed it's dual personality of Sport and Tourer all at the same time.

Good fun guys...enjoyed the musical campfire, the mix and match of specialty beers at the store in Cedar Vale, watching Prescott the Auctioneer and just generally hanging out as usual, plus a ton of great roads and scenery along the way.

Hope the rest of the crew made it back safe and sound...onwards to the next rally!

A few more pics from travels home...met another fellow sticker collector along the way!

What the heck John?   You ok?

I remember when I happened upon you at the gas station in Cedar Vale.  You were singing, in 3 part harmony, a gospel tune about your Triumph Tiger’s utter reliability.

I think you may have tempted fate my friend.

He made it home to Denver safely in 11 days and 2500 miles.  Rode lots of curvy roads in VA, NC and TN. Fell behind in time making stops along the way, and wasn’t close enough to attend the rally.  Thankfully, not even a hiccup from my (former) bike.

Rolled in last night (Friday) at 11 pm. 3,200 mile 10 day trip through 9 states.  Friday was a tough ride! I skipped a planned overnight in  Oklahoma and rode straight through from Omaha, NE to Austin.  734 miles in 17 hours.

Good decision riding straight through on Friday, Would have been quite soggy finishing it up today.   :thumb:

Glad you made it home safe.

This is the pic recipe i use for the chicken taco chili. I use 1-2 lbs of chicken breast and chicken stock and taco seasoning. Smoked on pellet grill until it gets some color, then add all ingredients to a pot and let it simmer nice and slow for a few hours. For a chili I use leanest ground beef, beef stock and chili seasoning. Everything else is the same.

Been a bit busy since I returned home dealing with some stuff that happened the day before I took off for CV intertwined with usual goings on. Rich and I had a good trip both ways, albeit cooler than we would have preferred. In any case, all is well. We had a great ride through the various states we passed through including a stop in Eldorado Ill. I got a pic of my Eldo in front of the town hall there along with a business card from the lady inside.

I almost forgot, on the outskirts of Lawrence Ill, we passed by a small building that serves as a radio station: WAKO. How would you like to be the DJ on WAKO Radio. Boy, you could have a lot of fun with that!

As always, it was a pleasure seeing everyone again and meeting some new friends. Good times spent with fine folks!

MJPTexas brought a bunch of swag provided by AF1 Racing , including a $100.00 gift certificate we awarded as a second prize in the raffle bike drawing . I was really tired and not sure who won that , would the winner step forward please .

Anyway , now that this year's event is in the books , I want to thank everyone for attending , the numbers were down a bit , probably due to the weather and a general trend of Guzzi events getting smaller . Maybe we can have one big attendance number next year , help us get the word out .

As always , some folks deserve special recognition for doing the behind the scenes work that gets these things to work . Not gonna list them , but they know who they are , and so does everyone else . So have a good thought for those folks , W/O them this event would not happen .
