SW-MOTECH SLC Pannier racks for V7
« on: February 11, 2021, 07:01:31 AM »
Does anyone have experience with these? I am contemplating these in place of C-Bow racks that will not fit with the MG small top rack that I just installed. It looks like the SLC's might not interfere.

Motech also make adapter plates that I assume can be attached to other cases to allow them to attach to the SLC racks but I would have to explore more. I am not excited about the Motech cases.

I had hoped to use the C-Bows and soft cases as I really like them, but I guess I will have to sell them.

My V9 came with SLC carrier and LC soft luggage

The SLC carrier is very unobtrusive

The LC Legend soft luggage looks great but cannot be locked to the bike or locked shut
Thus, the quick fit function could become a "quick nick" function if some light fingered individual fancies your panniers.
I'm working on a cunning plan to lock them onto the bike

The hard Urban ABS Side Cases can be locked to the bike but don't look quite as good IMO, but I've not seen them in the flesh yet

You can get an adaptor for the SLC carrier that you can bolt any hard case you fancy too it. (You can also get an oval race number plate that uses the sale SLC carrier)

holy cow I just looked at their website, man they are proud of those tank bags! $200 for the bag and $80 more for the gas cap ring to clip it on! Yikes!
