2013 1200 Sport Clutch Replacement
« on: April 22, 2021, 12:47:04 AM »
I've done lots of searching on the subject.
Just to be sure,  the best way to get in and out is the same as the Workshop Manual ??
Or has someone discovered a method that takes 25 minutes

Crikey! Look at all the Guzzis you've worn out, Larry!  Maybe the adopt the 6-hour method - drone up the Doom Highway to Roperville.

Dave.
.
I had a wee chat with Sir Pete. As usual, a wealth of generous and much appreciated knowledge.
I would follow your suggestion but don't have the time.
Hope you're well.

Was the strange clutch feeling I noticed in Daylesford, a precursor ?

You'd have to think so Pete, although I thought I'd cured it with a new slave cylinder but the damage had been done. I was aware of how hard on the clutch it was touring Europe two up and fully loaded,  especially some of the places we visited.
So tomorrow it's a new clutch plate and hopefully that's it.
Bike is sold BTW.  Buyer is happy to have a new clutch fitted.
