2010 Stelvio fuel tank swap
« on: February 27, 2015, 11:06:17 PM »
Hi to guzzisti.

I have a 2010 Stelvio in Australia that I have sourced a second hand bare larger 32 litre tank for and now I,m chasing suggestions as to where to find a pump, fuel lines and rear tank cover to suit the swap?
Not that fussed with front fairings as I may redesign look to a naked front.
Does anyone know whether the pumps are a Bosch or a weber/marelli part?  Numbers? Will also require the large plastic ring that hold the pump in place.

Any suggestions on sources greatly appreciated,

Thanks Brian

Our friend Paul on the forum has done this swap. http://www.fastguzzi.nl/ http://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/2011-tank-on-2008-model.8130/

You can message him here on the forum if you'd like... http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=179

I know I didn't answer your question, but I bet $ Paul could help you.

Hi, I did two times such a conversion.

http://fastguzzi.nl/stelvio

Pumps are also in some piaggio scooters.

Left coil has to be positioned as the right one is.
Move ecu and fusebox. Ecu gets upside down

Back plastic is only new. Last new version is not painted I think. But all black.

I had same idea but ended buying all new plastics.

Thanks guys for the advise and suggestions.

Will chase a pump thru the scooter link to see if they are available and at what price.

Has anyone heard of a wrecked donor available for bits to suit?

Actually the guys at Guzzitech told you about them.  ;D You can still call them or email them.  They are in Massillon, OH about an hour from me.  They are quite a large motorcycle salvage place and while most everything is listed on eBay not all. Or at least it used to be that way.  They sold me an ABS unit for $90 for my 2007 Norge among other stuff.
