is that a Jersey thermometer? up here we have to show down to 60 below zero to get accurate winter readings.

"Only" -0.5 degrees F here last night, a balmy 20 today, warmer tomorrow but with 5"-8"" of wintry mix"/snow due to arrive tonight and tomorrow. Sunday is supposed to be 40 with rain. BUT, I count my blessings every day that we haven't been hammered like the New England states.

Dusty,

Don't think the Springsteen-Jersey reference went unnoticed.

Sunny and warm here in Rochester, NY.  Snow should decrease in a couple days because Lake Ontario may freeze all the way to Canada stopping the lade snow.

Sounds like for some of you guys that you are going to have to thaw your vodka out in the microwave before you can drink it.  :o

-12F here this morning, I didn't expect it to be that cold. A pipe is frozen in the upstairs bathroom, so all the thermostats have been brought up over the customary 55, and watching for leaks.

I got out before the last big storm. Hard spending a month in Florida at this time of year.

Personally, I always thought that song was about 10th Ave. in Manhattan, probably Hell's Kitchen, but I understand how you NJ fans are about the Boss.  ;)

Hoping that last night was the LAST night for below zero F temps until next winter.  Just as I say that, accuweather predicts -7F for Monday night.  This is really weird weather - I don't recall it being this cold for this long this late in the season.  Add our 4-5 feet of packed snow and that's pretty wacky.  So far no ice dams, no leaks, only one frozen heating pipe due to me removing some insulation last summer to refresh it and forgetting to replace.  All's well here in North Central MA.

I had to work outside digging to find a frozen water line for a customer.  It was 2F and 20MPH winds, crappy visibility.  No cab on the excavator, blah blah.
It took me two hours just to get the truck unburied and the excavator on a trailer.  It was money but I was cold for two days.

Today is finally warm enough to ride the snowmobiles!  Sunny and warm Rochester has got it going on.  Despite that Boston has more snow than we do!

Nick, we had temps in the teens and 2-3 inches of snow down here in the sunny south causing the usual mayhem at the grocery stores and the normal reduction in Driving IQ.

Same here in MD, except my project is the Elefant. Should be ready to roll in two weeks.
