what is a reasonable asking price for my Nevada ?

I have 05 Nevada wit a clear title and less than 15,000 miles on it.  About 1000 miles ago I took it to Ed Milich in San Francisco for big valve heads, an 85 mm piston kit, his sump spacer a power commander, elimination of the air box and K & N filters.  I have a $4,785 receipt for the work.  Then I took the bike to a local speed shop and had it dyno tuned and had a custom back rest made and added the MG center  stand, small tinted windscreen and luggage rack.  I have the dyno chart from the bike stock (38.8 hp, 35.8 tq) and after the engine work (49.88 hp, 49.15 tq).  The bike is not pristine, but from two feet away it looks fine.

I realize that I'll never get what I've invested in the bike, but I don't want to ignore the improvements when I set a price, so I'd like the suggestions of those who understand these things better than me to give me their thoughts.  They would be greatly appreciated.  And if anyone would like to see pictures just let me know and I can send them, but I don't know how to post them on here.

Having owned close to 50 bikes since 1969 and selling them myself (never traded one in) when I wanted to try something new, I have never had a problem selling any of my toys because I price them realistically.  That means that the only things that I could add for extra value on top of what the bike is really worth in the free market was high quality accessories like saddlebags.  In your case, the sump spacer & rack are worth about 50% of what you paid for them.  Most other things like increased horsepower won't mean anything to 99.9% of serious potential buyers. 
That means that you're not likely to get more than $2500 (on the high end) and as low as $2200, depending on how quickly you want to sell it.
You've put so much money in the bike that I would highly suggest that you keep it for a very long time so you can get some enjoyment from all the $$$$ you put into the bike.
Not a pretty scenario but it's probably what you're going to find out when you attempt to sell it.

Buy a V7 Classic, swap motors between the two, then sell the Nevada for $2,000-$2,500k, and have a very nice, fast(er than stock) V7.
Then, if you are so inclined customize the V7, maybe some clip-on, rear sets, solo seat, and a cool fairing!

That's a good idea, if you want keep a Guzzi bike.  I like it.

Doesn't need to buy one, he already has a V7 Classic - just the clothes are a little different. If the OP wants it to not look like a Nevada, that's not too big a challenge & has been done before. If he wants something completely different, he's likely to take a bath on his investment. Sorry.

Ride the snot out of it, or maybe use as trading fodder for a bargain priced "new" Guzzi. Otherwise you are upside down by a factor of about 2:1. Good luck!

 One question , and not meant to be snarky . After spending so much money and expending so much effort to create a bike that suits you , why now sell it ? Seems to me it makes more sense to "ride the snot out of it" and enjoy the fruits of your labor than to let it go and then start all over with another bike . I realize that to some folks enjoy the creative process , and once that is over boredom sets in , but that mindset always seems baffling . Carry on , and good luck .

Nevada resale prices took a hit when V7 Classic was introduced.

V7 Classic (2TB) resale took a hit when V7 Special/Stone were introduced (1TB).

You're probably not going to find a Nevada buyer who also is thinking of spending thousands at Guzzi Power, so all the internal work you did will probably net you nothing on resale.

Unfortunate, but not really limited to Guzzis.  I see autos and pickups for sale all the time with high-buck mods, and the seller wanting to get their money back.  Rarely happens.  The vehicles just sit out there for sale forever, until the owner lowers the price.

Maybe get  stock motor from a wreck, and sell the modded one separately?  Or, maybe sell the motor as a trade-in deal.   Trade your motor for someone else's stock one and cash.   Maybe there is a V7C owner here who'd be interested in that deal?

As for the suggestion of putting the V7 "clothing" on the Nevada, I guess that is another option, though, is the frame totally the same?   I would think that there may be some differences, but, maybe nothing huge.

Centre stand, screen and sump extender will depreciate by surprisingly little, wont spoil the tune of your bike by removal and I believe also fit v7.
Should be simple to sell those separately.

In the SF Bay Area? Reasonable in the Midwest isnt reasonable in the BA.

The price is often dictated by how motivated you are to sell it. Take a look at Honda CB350/360s and then tell about reasonable. Sure, selling price isn't always asking price but in the SF area, used bikes is very good condition demand a premium.

Forums are great for buying because the owners get the low end most often. A big part of selling is how you market the bike. A good ad, good technique in showing it etc.

You can walk away from you investment because it is reasonable or do the unreasonable and recover a good percentage of it, it's only YOUR money.

There is no trick to selling a good bike at top dollar, just don't sell it to bottom feeders. Position the bike right and you can get it sold. Find the buyer who isn't a Guzzista or whatever and who wants a nice bike.

Remove can't, won't, impossible, and all that from the equation and sell it for far more than what anyone else thinks is reasonable.

I bought my V7 that form a member in the "Bay Area."   The price wasn't any higher than anywhere else in the country.  In fact, it was good enough a deal to pay for shipping back East.

If selling prices were that much higher in the Bay Area, he'd have sold it locally for more.

 It's funny , at least once a month some joker who claimed to be from California would offer me $500.00 for my /5 , stating "Hell , I can buy all of 'em I want for $500.00 in California" My response usually was , "Well heck , maybe we should take a trailer t California, we could make a lot of money" 

 NP is right about some bikes selling for more in the BA than what they will bring out here in the middle, but that isn't always true . Almost any classic or vintage bike will bring about the same anywhere in the lower 48 , and I've actually seen certain 70's Japanese bikes go for less in California because there are so dang many of them still running around . S.F. is swarming with CB 350's , and quite a few single cam CB 750's . Triumphs are so common that you can't swing one W/O hitting another one . Maybe that has changed a bit since my last visit , but I bet it hasn't changed much .
