Service code
« on: August 12, 2015, 04:34:24 PM »
I have a 2014 California 1400 Touring. I am looking for help with resetting the word service and the red warning light that appeared on my speedometer when the clutch lever switch broke. The dealer replaced the switch under the warranty but charged me $31.00 to reset the service indicator because I didn't have the bike serviced there. I did the service myself.  I followed the ECU tutorial posted by Beetle, however, that did not work. My bike has ECU 7sm. The software seems to be written for either the 5x or 15x ECU.  Guzzidiag v.46 and v.47 both show the 1400 cal in their dialogue box but will not connect to the ECU.

The service code for the Cali has never been made available. Currently the service icon and any faults require PADS to remove.

Thank you Pete. Where can I learn more about PADS?

Only way is to become a service agent and buy the tooling. Hopefully there will be an alternative soon.
