You can park a motorcycle for free at the Newark NJ airport

I was planning to visit a friend in Savannah GA and internet research revealed that you can park a motorcycle for free at the Newark NJ airport (and others, Google it, I can wait). I posted a question on a well-known motorcycle website and was advised to take the bus. I decided to check it out and it worked out very nicely. I think most of the bikes belonged to employees, including Pilots and aircrew (based on the aviation-related stickers on bikes parked there). Some high buck bikes including several blinged out Harleys. Not a lot of chains and locks on these bikes. I locked up both wheels and my helmet.



The parking is covered and my bike wasn't even dusty after three nights of camping out at the airport.



FUTURA 10/10 would park there again.

Even though the state Highway Departments seem to hate us, leaving 3-inch steps between lanes and leaving us to ride on scored pavement ...

... the rest of the world is doing us pretty well.   In the past 3 or 4 years, every motel I stop at invites me to park under their outside foyer, or park right in front of the office window or door.

And half of them offer me a worn-out hotel towel to clean my bike off with, and the other half will give you one if you ask.   

Sure is a change from some of the bad old days of "No Motorcycles Allowed".

The upside would be that you're leaving it there so you can go somewhere ELSE ...

Cool, now if you HAVE to fly outa Newark, there's no chance anyone will leave a dead body in your trunk.

Not whole anyhow.
