I would think that means it's become part of the family.
As a (real) million mile BMW friend told me when my old GS was madly misfiring in the rain "we used to change to NGK plug caps before the bike was delivered". I can't believe you waited so long!
.....you cannot remember how many front and back tires that You've put on it. My R1100RS just turned over 86,000 miles, after 18 years of ownership.
Bought my 75 Trident in 84. That machine has taught me a lot over the years.
when you wear out the new parts you put in?
My 1991 is showing slightly more than 155,000 miles. It's interesting, that. We have about 150,000 miles on our 2012 Subaru now. I've marked next to your list what we've had done to it. All at the dealer, all at the recommended intervals.I guess the thing that amazes me between bikes and cars is that I've never, ever, changed the lubricant in a manual transmission or a differential in a car, no matter how many miles, and I've never had one fail. Maybe we overdo the drive-line thing. They're not THAT much more highly stressed than a car.
Constant mesh vs synchro mesh synchro cone spins the relevant gear up to speed before engagement. Constant mesh everything it turning all the time, I would also suggest a bit trans runs a lot hotter than a car purely on thermal mass vs volume basis.
