The track is so big, I don't know how much racing you would see. The cars are sure cool.

Deliverance was shot primarily in Rabun County in northeastern Georgia. The canoe scenes were filmed in the Tallulah Gorge southeast of Clayton and on the Chattooga River. This river divides the northeastern corner of Georgia from the northwestern corner of South Carolina.

Georgia probably had more banjo boys a the kind of movie extras they needed.

The race is in an area south of Fort Leonard Wood. It's some REALLY wooly country. I'd think a guy on a KLR or something like that could see some cool stuff

Yep , and the cast stayed at a very fancy country club in some very nice houses . Burt Reynolds refused to work every day unless the place was stocked with some fancy bottled water chilled to 33 degrees and served over caviar . OK , I made the caviar part up

There was no attempt to insult the people of Georgia. The states of North & South Carolina were also used in the filming.
No insult was intended for Burt Reynolds either.
If toothless redneck perverts were offended.....oh well.
Very memorable musical "duel" from Billy Redden and Ronny Cox
