NGC - Well, time to get the thermal clothing out - again
« on: January 12, 2018, 09:26:28 AM »
Sitting here at the computer, looking out the window at the green grass, and the AccuWeather forecast for today.  Here we go again!  Should step out into the garage and attach charger to the CB1100 before temps drop again.  Guzzi and Beemer got good charges over the past week.

I took advantage of the brief break to ride to and from work yesterday on the Stelvio--warm and windy, and I missed the rain in the middle of the day!  Now we are hunkering down to watch all this rain turn to ice then snow.  60 degrees last night, dropping into the teens tonight.  Yo-yo weather

It’s even been dreary down here in Louisiana. We’ll have lows in the low-twenties, tonight...highs in the mid-forties. Not so bad, but too cold for recreational riding. Oh well...it’ll be back in the sixties next week, I expect. This weekend I’ll just turn up the heat and plug in the float chargers.

GUZZI CONTENT!
Just can't help myself!  Even when I don't plan on including Guzzi content, I do!

Just pulled car into the garage, since rain had turned to sleet.  Honda is on charger.  Prior to connecting charger, I flipped the ignition'on' and the fuel pump whined nicely, but sounded a bit slower than usual.

Probably need a quick trip to grocery store before it really gets slick.

Yes, the weather is going to be "wintery" for a few days.  However, the days are getting longer, sunrise is coming earlier, the seed catalogs are starting to arrive, things are going to improve.  It happens every year.

Yep, I was just thinking this. I *like* the 4 seasons, and the rebirth in the Spring.

Chuck,

I don't know if you're out in Sunny CA or back here in IN.  I hope it's CA because IN is now in a "Winter Storm Watch" through most of tonight.  We currently have a 1/4" of frozen rain on everything with a forecast 2"-4" of snow to fall on top of it before tomorrow AM.  Happily, I got the snow blower out yesterday and it is ready to go.

Take it easy and stay safe regardless of where you are.

It was 24 degrees last night in Waldheim, but has already reached a balmy 34. I was riding in a light jacket last week...

60 degrees here at midnight last night, and 24 degrees when I got up this morning, and quite windy.

It was misty-rain + flog all day yesterday, plus, I had to work, so, no riding for me.

I'm actually tempted to go out for a short one this morning, despite the 24 degree temps, though, I fear running across some ice if there is any runoff that didn't get dried by the wind before it froze.

I'm so looking forward to spring.    "Only" 10 weeks of winter left.

I will be glad to see the groundhog come out and tell us it will be only 6 more weeks until spring.
I hope he bites some important stuffed shirt.

I was in the plow from 4am till noon yesterday. We had 8 inches over some ice and sleet.  Quite messy.
2 degrees this am.  Need to go out and touch up a few spots before the games start.  Then, it's a nice relaxing day off.  I'm sure a few Porters will make an appearance at some time today!

Everyone with an open loop ECU system and in these super cold areas, that still ride. Make sure your maps cold temp aspect of the tune is set properly for a low enough temperature to cover your temperatures. This can have an effect on Preformance and fuel milage as I have recently discovered.

I snowed me in again last night.  I spent an hour and a half shoveling snow from my wheelchair.

Well that proves it.  Summer's over.
