Sport 1100 Sump removal
« on: July 01, 2021, 09:31:16 AM »
Another problem today, changing the oil and giving it a service, however the sump refuses to budge, all perimeter bolts have been removed. This bike has sat and done very little for at least 8 years so sump may not have been off in that time.

There are four hex head i.e. not cap screws in the "middle" towards the front and rear. If you defiantly got all the screws out and its still be stubborn a block of wood against it and a thump from the side with a hammer (on the block of wood) gets it moving.

Thanks Murray, I've definitely removed all the perimeter bolts, are there bolts on the very bottom of the pan, I'll have another look. Thanks

Need to remove 18 bolts, 4 are not around the perimeter.
Here's a manual:  https://guzzitek.org/gb/ma_us_uk/1100/1100SportCarb_Atelier(I_GB).pdf  Thanks to guzzisteve.

Not anything I recognize if the strainer is clean its likely just what you called it, a staple.
