OK, only -4F, but still fairly chilly.

The chokes were up, but at that temperature, I figured a bit of pump action was necessary. I've started my Panther at similar temperatures and it needs a lot of tickling.... :boozing:

Tough old cuss, Nick!

(Bike's pretty rugged, too.....    )

-6.7F outside here right now.

I just finished insulating the ceiling in the garage yesterday.
Nasty, nasty job - but it's FINALLY done. All of the bikes will start, I'm sure.
It's (+) 54F in there right now.

A lonely goose honking for his companions in the middle of winter..

Funny how idling in the driveway goes a long way to getting to spring

Thanks Nick!

The old Eldorado rises from the depths of winter slumber

I thought it was cold last week (37 F) when i took the 69' Ambo out for a winter ride. They certainly are good old bikes.
I received a book for a Christmas gift, "Do it while you still can". Well thanks to the author, I'm lusting after an 83' Goldwing to travel out west this summer, not that the Ambo wouldn't make it. I have enjoyed several of your books Nick, thanks.

You must have really gotten bored there.  Can't imagine that, that exercise was good for the engine.  Good luck with that...

Eek!  That brings back all too many memories of starting frozen machinery back in the Ice Age, before I moved to California.  I'm going to turn up the heat, take a hot shower, and sip some wine until they fade

Fantastic that it starts so readily!  And that a moto battery had the oomph for several attempts at that temperature.  What are you using?  And where do you get the uranium?

Depends on the humidity but yeah that would be a concern too.
