To wrench?  Not gonna happen.  To ride?  Maybe if I were a one-foot down gal (I'm a twofer), and I didn't mind road rash scars.

I can change the oil/tires/fuses/roter/gas filter/blue coil on '68 & '69 VW Bugs! Other than that, nope.

I'm pretty sure I could change the oil on our collection of motos without much trouble.  I can do a coolant flush/burp on a Vespa as it's straight-forward but beyond that, I wouldn't dare for fear of irreparably messing something up.

The bikes aren't more complicated than a VW bug.  Just consider them 1/2 a bug.

Some of the smartest people I've met were on Illuminati, but the place devolved into a hate filled scheissenhole.

I aint none of them there smart peoples but some of us have a bit of a hideyhole on the webs.  I'll send yinz a link.  It's mellowed quite a bit.

So I've been told.

Gotta get your confidence up.  1). Read more and visualization, helps.  2). Before any task, see step 1 and review.
3). There are a ton YouTube vids to help before working on something.  4). Maybe take a class at Rio Salado CC.  5).  Drop in here w/questions.

Day student would be less.  You could ala carte the courses and take what you need for Euro bikes.  Hey open a shop for women riders.  Big investment for tools.  Doable.  Very few women go through the classes as FT students even less students riding to school on their own bikes.  Less on Euro/Italian motorcycles.

Knowledge wise, what level are you trying to achieve?  Hobbyist/rider...amateur/semi-pro...professional?

So, I asked this question to my wife, who rides.  She says forums are for guys as 99.99% of the posts have zero interest to woman.
It's almost the same for our BMW club, which is very active-for the men.  One or two of the gals attends the monthly meeting every now and again-but they do come to rides and other club events.

I don't think this adds anything useful at all to the conversation-but I did at least ask!

Thanks for asking!   But we sort of kind already know that the posts here have interest for very few women.

The question is "Why"?    Links to "Cycle Garden"'s "girls" site is one obvious answer, but very many of the posts are about rides, and photos of nice rides, and advice on how to pack for a trip, or info on a new 375-pound bike that might be fun, or info on riding gear, or suggestions for scenic roads, or info on a dealer opening or closing .... there's no reason that I can think of that such posts would be interesting to a man but not to a woman who rides ... ?

I asked Fay, but she doesn't use cyberworld as a communication means at all ....

Yes it bloody well does add something KoF..
At least the words came from a woman, not from a bunch of old blokes who reckon they know what a woman thinks...
You had the decency to ask at least.
I was hoping that there'd be lots of comments both positive and otherwise from lady members or guests.

I believe that the majority of female riders choose to have a Harley-Davidson: so I wouldn't expect to see them participating on a Guzzi site.  There are exceptions, but most are riding HD's.

In my experience, I respectfully disagree with that assessment.

Although I'm sure there's no objective data one way or the other, riding down the highway on a sunny Sunday might bear out the original proposition.

Very many times, you will see a guy on a standard batwing Harley followed by a girl (at my age, every female is a "girl".   I'm willing to be a boy) either on a Sportster or a Harley trike.

On the other hand, unless there's a ponytail blowing in the wind, you can't always tell, underneath the jacket.   And sometimes not then ....

Well, I'd put the ratio at about "exactly the same" to be honest... dude to chick, boy to girl, man to woman... I tend to see "couples" on the same brand of bike as their partner, and if not the same brand, then the same niche (standard, cruiser, sport, dual sport, etc). In the prairies, Harley is king. Long straight roads, as far as the eye can see... it's like the desert in Nevada, just with a shorter season and more extreme cold. But in that "Harley as King of the Road" setting, the ratio from male to female seems to be the same.

Maybe it's just the circles in which we hang... mine is a wide variety of bikes, and the women in that circle reflect that.

Emma is a 30 year old Millennial.  She wears patchouli and keffiyeh's.

I had no idea what 'patchouli' was or what it smelled like, only that it was a common feature of hippie chicks apparently.

A couple months ago, sort of as a joke, I was in a little Tibetan shop (trying their 'singing bowls' to add to my collection, I love those things) and there was a a little 1/2 oz bottle of patchouli.    I bought it and put it on Fay's dresser as a lark and forgot about it.

The other night, she put some on before we got into bed.

I'm not making any more jokes about patchouli..... !

I spent some time in India once sampling their cuisine.
I experienced "singing bowels" as well....
What a co incidence...!
