A seriously bad situation kills two young riders. We had just seen them all race at Barber's.

Will be wearing Black today. RIP

Wow, that's terrible.  I know Devon Mc Donough.  I saw a similar incident at the start of a race at Laguna years ago when a rider hit his front brake lever into the tail of another bike and went over the bars.  Very scary!  now they run little brake lever guards to prevent that from happening. Godspeed to the racers killed.

There's a blind left hand kink in the uphill straightaway approaching the main first curve.  I wonder if this is where it happened, like years ago in a WSBK start where no one got killed.  Both riders were supposed to be from Spain.     After the race we got a rear camera brief glimpse of the disaster.   During the race we(TV watchers) had no idea what happened since our camera was on the leading group.  Both were pronounced dead later after the race was concluded.

Later the whole race episode will probably be on video @ www.motoamerica.com
