I have nine bikes that are basically a slowly accumulated collection of what I’ve wanted to buy and hold forever.  I don’t plan on selling any of them and don’t want more due to the maintenance time and money but if suddenly that wasn’t a constraint these would be the five I’d add.

Bimota SB2
Laverda RGS Corsa
Yamaha RD400
Buell XB12SS
96 Suzuki GSXR750

Enquiring minds want to know about the nine keepers!!!

Daytona RS
CX100
V85TT
Bevel 900SS
Belt 900SS
ST4
996 Mono
Carb SV650
90 R100GS

I'm not 101% sure yet that the V85TT is a keeper, but probably... It does a job.  The SV650 is cheap fun, works very well and perhaps when I'm older I'll appreciate having a lighter bike to ride.  So it's staying.

Tusyan, I'm with you on the Bimota SB2. If I had one I'd have to remove the bodywork occasionally just to admire the frame!

I have owned three first generations SV650's.  An amazingly fun motorcycle.  Anyone who has not ridden one is denying themselves a good time.  IMO, that oval aluminum tube frame is the best looking production motorcycle frame ever made.

Try out a Suzuki DR650 sometime if you are looking for a competent light weight street bike.  Nothing exotic, just plain versatile.
