Lights Out
« on: June 28, 2022, 08:34:10 AM »
1986 V65 Lario
Lights quit working, park lights still work, pass light still works but (lights on) does nothing.
A wiring diagram would be very helpful right about now.
Thanks.

Have you checked the fuses yet?  I had the opposite happen.  Headlight worked but passing/bright lights did not.  Ended up being a 10amp fuse which was blown.

The Lario has a 4 way Molex connector (16) just under the tank, this was a constant cause of problems on the one I had, just cut out for no reason, I tried replacing the components but eventually just crimped a butt splice in parallel to the  connector, no more problems.

Ok, the problem is in the switch itself, I can jump the switch and everything works great. Now we all know how cheap we can be, I don't know it this is even available but I Doubt it. I'm gonna have to try something, Driving w/o lights at night is a real bitch.

Yeah....Bambi and her friends.     Clean the switch contacts and/or look for a replacement.  Some of the stuff on Amazon will work.  There are switches in there.

One of the solderless connections at the switch had worked its way loose, A touch of solder seems to have thing righted once again. Thanks for most of your advice.
