Is accounting for Leap year? ;)
LowRyter, I hope you were able to resolve your fifth wheel problem quickly and inexpensively. I owe you a box of your choice of cigars. After two nights in the tent during thunderstorms, putting them up and taking them down, loading two bikes, and loading the truck, Lorraine was eyeing your Toy Hauler. On the ride back she said that maybe we need to get one. We found an 03 26 footer with a slide out for $6500. Haven't seen it, and will believe it when we bring it home, but you and your bride sparked "Lorraine's" idea to get a toy hauler. :bow :D
Thanks Dusty. This is the Mrs. I tried and failed. >:(
Nicely done, Mike. Someone that didn't really know small blocks would never notice.. ;D
Thanks for the compliments! I like the bike a lot. Did anybody notice that the eagle was flying backwards under the 750S decal? Huh....that kind of bugs me...LOL
There was a period that Guzzi could only afford one decal. ;D Several bikes have the eagle flying backwards.
Look at the pics. Eagles facing rearward on both sides in the pics of mwrenn's bike. Mistake by the painter. But yes, 1981-1996, all eagle decals had the eagle facing right, so decals on the left side of the bikes faced rearward:
Cool dat! Thanks for the post and complement! I really enjoyed hanging out, chowing down, and visiting the brief time I was there...fun times indeed..:).Thought I would post a pic of my bike when it was clean...lol..cheers!
How do you mount a decal backward? It cannot be done can it. It can be painted but how do you apply a decal backwards. I thought decals only attach from one side.
As Chuck said. There are left and right stick eagles. On this bike they were mounted on the wrong sides, so both point rearwards...
All Eagles on all Guzzis have faced back on the left and front on the right which is following with the letters.
Have you owned a Guzzi built between 1997 and current? If so, then go look at the left side and note that the eagles face forward. As seen here in this beautiful and rare green/black 1997 California 1100:
DUH I misunderstood the thread. Now I get it.
