50 people at a rally that started with 6 not too long ago? That's going to double the size of the town! Dusty, you must be doing something right. I sure can't figure it out. Must be the hush puppies.

Here's 3 of those six.  Doug was doing prep in the mess hall.

We are naming our Cedar Vale camp out

                                                 The Cedar Vale
Not a National Not a Rally

For 2017 the dates will be Apr 21 - 23 , with of course several of us getting there on Thur the 20th . Start making reservations now , the city has promised a surprise if we can attract 50 attendees .

They have a drunk tank that big?

Well , our little soiree in SE Kansas has grown to the point where some involvement from the small town of Cedar Vale has become necessary . So for the 2017 version , the town will be providing the needed "kitchen" for the preparation of Sat night's catfish fry . We will be inviting a limited number of locals to the dinner , the city will be selling tickets as a fundraiser for the town coffers . No worries about labor , as the extra hands will be provided by a couple of local civic groups . The fish and hush puppies will still be handled by your's truly .  Sat morning breakfast will be provided by the city , same as last year , for a small donation . As for Thurs and Fri meals , we , can work that out as we further develop the plan . There is a very good local cafe for those who choose to go that way .

Now for the bad part . Seems we will need to charge a nominal fee of $25.00 for two nights camping and the Sat night meal . For you Thurs folks , maybe an extra couple of bucks to cover what the city will need , and donations will be taken up for the fire wood , normally about a buck per attendee . There is electricity for those of you who need it . Will be providing contact info for deposits by PM .

I really want to thank Doug and everyone else who has helped grow what was originally intended as a one time deal into now the 5th annual Cedar Vale camp out

Oh , and yes this is a bit early , but we have commitments from several folks travelling long distances (Chuck in Indiana and his lovely wife Dorcia) .

Let's hope the weather is great , and that we see maybe 65 this year  :thumb:

"2017 April 22-24"

I've added it to my calendar, but you might want to double check those dates. Unless its changing to a Saturday through Monday event.

Jay
Then again, when I was watching Predator I didn't think two members of its cast would become governors, either. So you never know.

Is my 2017 calendar incorrect ? Someone help us out here . Anyway , Fri-Sun as always , with the normal Thurs arrivals . Heck , ask nice and I could be convinced to arrive on Wed

25 bucks for two nights camping and a catfish dinner is cheap.

Cedar Vale has been very accommodating in the past.  A fine example of small town hospitality.
They certainly deserve our continued support.

See ya all there!

Hear hear!  Penciled it in as well for next year...I just want to know if Prescott is going to ride the V7 or the Triple and should I bring a few extra sets of spark plugs again?

Woolaroc is a nice To or Fro the rally.

Will have to brush up on some more jokes for Joke Night now...

How about identifying the state this will be in?   This will be in place of a traditional national rally?

SE Kansas I believe he posted in line 1...      Not a National and not a substitute for a National...totally unconnected to the National.

Ok, thanks.  But why refer to it at Notannational?   I was thinking based on the name that since its maybe like a campout, it was being called notational notarially???   And since to this point know one has yet stepped up to but on a National rally, this must be its replacement, am I the only one confused by the name?

Yes SE Kansas , and no , not trying to replace the national , although a couple of attendees have mentioned they are treating CV as their national next year , thus , the Notanational Notarally moniker

Seriously , at some point I will merge this with the last four years of the Cedar Vale KS thread , just trying to keep it simple at the moment .

Well, old Guzzi is out of warranty and new Triumph has 2 years/unlimited miles.   So I'm racking up as many miles as possible on the warrantied vehicle.

So no spark plugs needed.   But you can add to my custom specimen bottle.

You must be easily confused, Chad my man.   What is it you don't understand about "notanational notarally?"  Now, I'll admit when you have a "notarally" fee, it sort of turns into a real rally, but it still isn't a national notarally.
Er.. my head hurts.  :boozing: I'm going anyway..

Bartlesville is certainly the better side of CV (although an hour away).  I can recommend Woolarc and Frank and Lolas for the Green Chile burger.

For you campers in CV, Dusty tells me they will open the showers at the swimming pool.  And the local cafe has a rib eye on Friday night.  And the bike museum in Augusta, KS (Wichita).

Unfortunately, I am sure that some may go to MotoGP at COTA that weekend.

John , no doubt a few will be in Austin , but considering this is a Guzzi crowd , and three days at our Knotarally will cost in total maybe 50 bucks plus gas as opposed to what , well hell , I can't count that high , we aren't overly concerned  Besides , we are gonna have match races between a certain Aero engined beast from the East , and the Oklahoma Hot Rod from Enid  If that ain't enough , the city will provide some horse shoes
