NGC This happened on the way to a Goldwing!
« on: May 15, 2021, 09:40:00 AM »
Ok, so I wasn’t actually on my way but I had 2 Goldwing “sellers” from craigslist renege on the deals after we had agreed upon them!  :violent1:
A thurd :~) owner shut me down as he didn’t trust out of town buyers?!
Now maybe it’s just a sign of the times or I have been extremely lucky but I never had 3 in a row not go down on a bike I was searching for.
And by the time someone gets back to ya from cycletrader the bike is sold.
Ok, so rant over.  :thewife:

Here’s what followed me home yesterday.
A brilliant ride.  :bike-037:
A Blue '05 BMW K1200LT (I think I’ve heard all the stories/jokes about Beemers having owned several already so eyes wide open as they say)

Those are pretty solid motorbikes .

No idea about the other issue , especially since you obviously have access to WG <scratches head> Maybe try adding a picture later , dunno .

Congratulations on the LT , hope it carries you many a mile .

Well, at least they were flakes, instead of scammers.
The LT looks like a nice bike- those things are enormous!

The EV I bought from you runs like a champ.  I made a few...adjustments to it.

Oh, just a few things.  Still machining new foot peg holders (I'm using some from an SP right now).  Can't decide if I want to go with a small fairing.
Let's just say it's a work in progress.

What an uber comfy, Barcalounger of a ride, that thing makes a Gold Wing look like a tricycle, lol
,
I don't know what engine is in it, but with all that still air and comfort, collecting speeding tickets on the highway could easily be your new hobby

]Inditx:
She looks great!  A few words of advice from a long time LT owner.   Make sure the old rubber brake lines have been replaced with braided steel lines.  The original rot and burst or contaminate that overly complex servo assisted brake system.   Also make sure the original plastic fuel line quick disconnects have been replaced with metal ones.  Those are prone to failure.   Replace the clutch slave cylinder, those leak and trash the dry clutch.

Check out Kirk Johnson’s videos on the Illinois BMW club site.   They are great.

If you don’t need those passenger armrests I’ll give you $200.00 for them!

I’ve got a Blue Whale myself!
