When you say "friendly", do you mean an attendant who is willing to lose his job and be fined or go to jail for selling you untaxed gasoline

Yea, they are going to send someone to jail for selling 5 gallons of av-gas to a vintage cyclist.

No , but the attendant might lose his job . Aircraft guys are funny about rules and regs , it's what keeps them alive .

The last time I bought Avgas I had to sign a document  stating that I wouldn't use it on public roads.  The last time I tried to buy it, the guy in charge at the airport told me no, they decided it wasn't worth the trouble... the stuff from their pumps has to go straight into airplanes.
