I'm not sure how to go about selling this unit.  It's a 1988 9.9hp Yugoslavian made outboard with a cast iron head, electronic ignition, water cooled twin.  It's a modern unit by my standards, has neutral and reverse, but it's heavy, at just under 90lb.  It's in great shape, my dad bought it almost brand new a few years back and it has something like 20 hours on it total!  I have a bunch of NOS parts, coils, seals, extra power prop and so on.  There certainly doesn't appear to be a ton of these here in North America so I really don't know how much its worth.

I'm downsizing, and want to sell it.  Any idea on the best way to go about it?  Anyone wan't it?  I'll sell it for $400 to anyone here just to get it off my hands.  It's been stored in my dry shed for 5 years, we properly drained all water and fuel, before storage.  I have the owners manual, parts manual and service manual along with detailed hand written instructions from my dad on what to do, and what not to!  Somebody come save me the trouble of listing it, bring $400 and come get it!

Guzzi content, if Guzzi had made a outboard, maybe they did?, it would be over built like this guy!

If your not in a hurry. Try researching the brand, there may be a message board like this one about those engines. Maybe a shopping section like this one, if not you might just make a post that you have one that you'd like to sell.

Ebay is always a good place to try to sell something, but most likely you would have to ship it. Maybe....Let Go or Offer Up or Craigslist might be a better way. The first two are like a classified ad for your area I believe, but can be searched nationally. You might also try an add at a local marina, some have a pin board for buy/sell. Maybe even a local mechanic, probably not the best price there.

Good luck!
Tom

Did you have it on a sailboat? Is it a long shaft?   As Tom said.....Craigslist .  Put the words sailboat, fishing boat, hydroplane, trolling motor in the bottom of the ad to have it come up in listings being surfed using those words.

One sold on here for $550.  https://www.smalloutboards.com/

It's not a long shaft, never been on a sail boat.

Interesting.  I remember some of my peers running around on TOMOS mopeds back in the early to mid 80's.

*That's* why the Tomos name is so familiar..

Chuck, this would be a great motor to power your 16' fishing boat as you and the boy go off looking for the big one in your local creek!

It *would* if I had a 16' fishing boat. Or a local creek with fish in it.
