Today's SoCal CL Guzzis....
« on: January 30, 2015, 11:47:05 AM »

EV in LaJolla reduced.. again, a White Bassa and Black & Chrome EV...

Looks as if the seller here has realized that he was waaaay high on the original asking price of the EV of $8500 then $6500 now $5500.   A gorgeous Guzzi now at a much more reasonable price.

And just as an FYI, I met the fellow that owns this Bassa, straight shooter and Beautiful Bassa at a very reasonable price...

And not to slight this guy...  A nice looking EV in Imperial Beach.

Those white ones sure go a long way to making the engines appear smaller.

Like the white one.  Four more years of kids high school tuition to get through though.  That and looking to change careers at 56.

Shouldn't the sale prices be in the $3500 range?  I guess I must be a bottom feeder.

I guess that I'm also a bottom feeder. ;-T  However, if he wasn't so far away, I would be super interested for around $4k.  I lived just a few miles north of where this guy lives for 30 years and if I were younger and in better health, I would consider a visit to see some old friends, buy the bike and ride it home (if he would sell it for $4k)
NO longer can ride

If "bottom feeder" means that you'd like to pay the lowest amount of money that the seller would sell you the bike for .... then I know very few people who AREN'T "bottom feeders".

A cash offer on any of these bikes might get it for you.   Nothing in the world wrong with that.

And you could be especially happy if you calculate the ratio of "Highway Miles" to "Price Paid" for any of these bikes, assuming they're as nice inside as they are out.   The actual price doesn't matter so much if you figure it that way.   $4K for 4 years and 100,000 miles of riding isn't such a bad deal!

both the Bassa and EV share the same rear fender, I think. Isnt the chrome trim on the  rear shock area of the EV sturdier than the ducks head, and frame cover below the sidecover on the Bassa? I know on my aluminum, those pieces are like on the Bassa, and I have to baby them when I remove them, as they seem a bit fragile. Not a big deal, but if those chrome bling pieces on the ev are steel, not plastic, that would be better.  I like the look of the wide, sweeping rear fender, and funky taillight housing of these bikes. They have an "art deco" like style only the Italians can pull off where it looks "right", IMHO. ;-T
I wish my Aluminum came with the sweet tubeless wheels of the Bassa and EV.
Rick.
