Title: Truth in advertising, Cash Register in a pile of parts - oh yeah!
Post by: Yeahoo Whoyah on February 08, 2015, 10:42:12 PM
Now isn't that the truth, amid the parts pile is an old cash register! Hopefully it's FULL of greenbacks because that's what it will take to resurrect this Ambo!  Ran until engine puked...really?

Wouldn't put any hope in that cash register, either.

Easy project compared to what I usually start with. Cosmetics looks good, should be enough bits to build an engine. If there isn't, it's not the end of the world since there's lots of it about.

Seems there are lots of "glass half empty" sort on Wildguzzi...

Wow, an easy project, half the work is already done.

Seriously the body work looks to be in great shape.

Agreed, condition and starting price is not too bad, I just got a kick out of the cash register.

Not half empty, not half full, more like a container twice the size it needs to be.  ;D

"was a running bike before engine failure" I love sales pitches like this.

But is $2800 a reasonable starting price for this project?

I do not think $2,800 is reasonable especially with a failed motor. I would pay about $1,200 if it has a clean transferable title and was local.

2800 is too much, that would be a fair price if it could fire up.  1000 - 1400 would be fair if all the bits were there and you knew the type of engine failure and it had a reasonable cost to fix
