Which one, Item #68892 or Item #69904? As I recall one is better than the other. For $300 I'll get one for my new garage if I can find a coupon.

Only difference I can tell between the two is the 98892 has the foot pump on the right and 69904 is on the left.

The one I just bought is #68892 and the pedals are on the left. I think the photos on the website are just flipped. My lift is different than the photos of either and also different than the one shown on the user's manual. Both pedals are more rearward.

Thanks Charlie, I've got a coupon for $329 couldn't find one for $300.
I need to drive to Roanoke and get it and the wheel chock. Our private road down to the lake is too crooked for a big truck to use for delivery.

Find a 20% coupon and see if they'll take it. I didn't think they could apply it towards the lift since it was a sale item, but they did. Knocked mine down from $295.76 to $236.60.

How heavy is the unit in the box, I need to get it out of my Trooper into the garage till I assemble it. Could an old fart like me move the thing without taking it out of the box in the SUV?

I unloaded mine by myself and wished I didn't. Two people it is much easier and much more safe.

Charlie got lucky with the extra coupon it has been my experience there is no stacking of coupons.

The price Charlie got WAS AN ADV Sale price,so no coupon was needed. He was able to use his coupon for the 20% off.  The store will not use a 20%off on a Coupon item

I saw in hot rod bike today $319.95 coupon

Shipping weight is ~ 340 lbs. I bought a pair of $8 "mover's dollys" at the same time as the lift, didn't know why at the time, just seemed like a good idea. Turned out to be a good thing a few days later when I unloaded the lift. The HF loaders stuffed it into my Eurovan heavy end out, so I was able to lift the "light" end by myself and slip the dollys under it. Positioned my Craftsman m/c jack at the back of the van, then my friend Joe and I pulled the end of the crate out and onto the jack. Then it was just a matter of rolling it out, lifting the "light" end down to the ground (again onto the dollys) and pulling it to where I wanted it.

I figured the clerk would apply the coupon to the blast cabinet I bought, but when I looked at the receipt it had been applied to the lift. Others have tried to use a coupon with a sale item (not coupon item) and were told it wasn't allowed. Varies by store or by clerk? Dunno. <shrug>  ;D

Hey Dean:

The coupon is for both models, I don't know which one is which.
  The cupon # is 45767228, for $299.
  It expires 05/26/15.
I can send this one to you, if you can't find one.

It comes assembled, but it is one heavy son of a gun.

Our coupon is for $329 too, but would have been overlooked in the junk mail if not for the head's up.  We've been thinking we need one of these, thanks very much!

Yes send me one, mine runs out the end of this month and I could use the extra time to organize the garage after the move. Check your messages for my mailing address.

Assembled? I thought it came in a box and you had to assemble it

Oh, it comes in a box all right, but it's assembled. Gravity will help you get it out of the truck.  ;D I used my cherry picker to hold up the high end after sliding it out and letting that end hit the floor. Then, just moved the truck out of the way and let it down with the cherry picker.

Ok, now pay attention.  ;D

Mine was missing one nut on one of the scissors. *IF* that bolt had come out in service, your bike would be laying on it's side on the floor. I looked it over, ran to Stan's and bought a nut, and lock tited all fasteners. Lubed everything. Filled and bled the cylinder, it was low on fluid and spongy.
It's been trouble free since, and works well, even with a big block Guzzi on it.

It's been trouble free since, and works well, even with a big block Guzzi on it.

My just purchased one needed the "U" bolt tie-down points, wheel vise, wheel stop installed and the foot pedals slipped on. I went over all of the fasteners to check tightness and they were all good. Didn't need to add any fluid, but did lube a few spots.

I drilled some holes and added two more "U" bolt tie-down points at the forward corners.

Do a couple of empty "test drops" to get the feel of the release pedal - it's not very progressive, goes from slow to fast drop speed with just a little movement. Also seems to change with weight on the lift (of course) and closer to lowered. Just practice some before you put a bike on it, unless you want to do a suspension test.  :o

The lift pedal takes a bit more effort to pump than my 7 year old one, but has a shorter stroke. Both pedals are kind of at an awkward angle compared to the older lift.

Got it yesterday.  Just out of the box, we are quite pleased so far other than the JUNK wheel chock.  I've done some reading and seems most folks have the same impression.  From what I've read, chock # 60392 is the one we want, can anyone confirm?  Thanks again, everybody.

It will work. Sort of.  ;D I use my repaired one on mine occasionally. Be aware that they are *not* suitable for trailering, the tubing around the front is very light weight and will break. Don't ask me how I know..
Hard to beat a *good* vise, though. I'll make one some day, or buy one from another manufacturer.

That's the one I bought. But, I don't think I'm going to use it. I like to be able to remove the front wheel from bikes without backing them onto the lift, the chock would prevent that. So, I just used the supplied wheel stop plate and added two more "U" bolt tie-down points at the front corners.

Bought mine from Northern years ago. Agree w/all the advice above, add to watch the ramp on the back end of the table when lowering. If you have a rough concrete floor like mine, it can hang up &  tilt the table forward.
Just finished a job, anxious to get her down & go for a test ride, hit the pedal and.....Didn't have a disaster, just a reminder to pay attention.
