Very dumb battery question (Aluminum/Special Sport)

Been away a long time -- just long enough to get married & divorced!

On the other hand, my 2003 Aluminum has been so reliable I've scarcely had to log in but now I have a good reason: my battery is about dead, and I need to replace it. Except I am so far out of the loop I don't even know what size to buy, and since it's a hundred miles away in storage waiting for me to bring it a new, charged battery before I ride south in a month or so, I can't get at it to check. For that matter, if anyone wants to recommend a brand/unit, I'm all ears.

Umm..  look at the label of the old one and buy one of those.

We had a lengthy thread on this topic two or three weeks ago.  With the board changes, I'm not sure how to find and post a link to the thread.

Bottom line, though, the majority opinion seemed to be that one should find a reliable brand of AGM battery and call it good.  The Odyssey mentioned by RK was one.  I recently replaced the battery in my T3 (same as your bike, I believe) with an AGM Interstate.  They have a shop not far from my house and provide great post-sale service if necessary.

I'm sure you can find cross-references on the 'net for your bike/battery.  Going into a shop would for sure get you a good cross-reference.

+ 680 Odessey it ain't Guzzi cheap but lasts almost forever and you can get it shipped to your door. try Amazon for prices..

I think the the bike he's talking about is in storage a good distance away and he wants to go there with a battery instead of getting there then hunting one down.

Can't say enough good things about the Odyssey. It's the only brand I'd use if it was available for every bike I own!
